DID YOU KNOW THAT THE NAME OCTOBER,... ...originated from the Roman Calendar? It means “Eight.” It was the eighth month on that calendar. January and February were added later on, as the Romans increased the calendar to 12 months. At this point, October became the 10th month. Confusing? That’s what the Romans thought and decided to leave the 10th month with the name October! It’s a beautiful month. Temperatures have cooled down and a new landscape appears. There are vibrant colors of orange, yellow, and red, with an atmosphere of crisp and cool air.
The pumpkin farms are bustling, as Halloween is coming. The kids look forward to it and love dressing up in costumes. Most parents dread the holiday, as they need to be vigilant for the safety of their children. And oh yes, that doorbell keeps ringing! Have fun kids…young and old!!
